How Knowledge Edge store, secure and use your information

How will my feedback be used?

The Knowledge Edge team collates data from the survey and interviews we conduct as part of pinnacle event prebrief and debrief activities. We typically analyse responses that have been de-identified and grouped (e.g., grouping all respondents from a particular sport), and we analyse this data to identify common themes across a group. We present our observations and insights in summary reports that we share with NSO programme leaders (and others, where noted in survey / interview invitations), to inform further conversations and support ongoing learning in the future.

Who will see my name? Will this be connected to my survey responses?

We take your privacy and confidentiality seriously. Your data will be stored safely in a restricted-access database that is maintained by HPSNZ and managed by the Knowledge Edge team. To allow us to understand the context for your feedback and provide you with a log of learning over time, the responses you provide in surveys and / or interviews are not anonymous. Access to your identifiable responses is typically limited to researchers in the Knowledge Edge team; any exceptions to this will always be clearly stated in survey / interview invitations that we send to invited respondents. No names or individually identifiable details are included in our summary reports without your knowledge.

Escalating concerns

Where concerns are raised about the conduct or treatment of people within your sport, the Knowledge Edge team will raise these concerns with HPSNZ’s Legal Counsel Neena Ullal so that she can follow up with you directly. Your details will not be shared with any other person without your express consent, but HPSNZ is committed to ensuring that it acts on issues that you raise.
